God Did That for Me!

Psalm 37:4 says, Delight thyself also in the Lord; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.

Is it not wonderful when God gives us something we enjoy? It may be something that merely crossed our minds or something for which we had not prayed, and He just gives it to us anyway! I know I have experienced this many times!

While on my way to pick up my boys from school recently, I saw the most beautiful rainbow in the sky! It was, of course, for all to see, but I felt God put it there just for me. Then, my husband and I were talking just a few days ago about cutting our grass before putting up our outdoor Christmas decorations for our boys. My husband had been sick, so we planned to split up the task—divide and conquer—to get it done. The day after we had made our plans, our neighbor came to our house and asked if he could cut it for us. I told him, “Thank you so much! That would be such a huge blessing!” I did not ask God to do this, but He did it! This was not just a random visit. It was God looking out for us!

As Christians, we constantly should be learning to have faith in God to meet our needs. Psalm 34:15 says, The eyes of the Lord are upon the righteous, and his ears are open unto their cry. This verse reminds me that He is looking to meet my needs and my wants. He hears our cries when we want something. What a great God we have! How wonderful it is to be a child of the King! He knows exactly what we need, what we want, and what we would enjoy. He provides for us every day in every possible way!
