An Opportunity for Fellowship

Hey there, Christian Ladies Fellowship ladies! We are taking a brief moment in this Wednesday’s new devotion to give you some much-needed encouragement and then to share a perfect opportunity to get some for yourself in person!

I know for myself it seems the months just keep piling on, then flying past. I load my idea plate with juicy plans to do things I have really been wanting to do, as if I expect an upcoming pause in all the busyness. Then, once again, the weeks are gone, leaving me to wonder why I thought I would have time for that still-undone project.

One particular thing I find hard to schedule amidst life’s hubbub is fellowship. Our church is a busy-in-the-work church, which is a wonderful thing! Serving God with the people I love may provide the happiest life possible; however, I find it difficult to make time to relax, have fun, and enjoy some sweet fellowship. We all are going dozens of different directions, juggling a million things, but still craving some quality time with other Christian ladies.

We know fellowship is an essential part of our spiritual well-being. Without time together, how will we be able to fulfill completely the command in Titus 2 for ladies to teach ladies? Plus, we NEED each other to survive. Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 reminds us, Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labour. For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow: but woe to him that is alone when he falleth; for he hath not another to help him up. I know that there have been many times in my Christian life when God has used the words, encouragement, and kindnesses of other Christian ladies to keep my head above water in the tough times.

On that note, I would love to have you join me and all the other ladies of Immanuel Baptist Church as we host our very first North Florida Baptist Ladies Conference next month! Mark your calendars for April 12th and 13th and start making plans for two wonderful days filling each other’s cups with joy, wisdom, and encouragement.

Let me share some of the details of the conference:

On Friday, April 12th, the evening will be kicked off at 6 p.m. with a mouthwatering dinner in our fellowship space, where we can chow down while catching up with old friends or making new ones. Then, at 7 p.m., get ready for an evening service that will fill you to the brim with encouragement, singing, laughter, and fellowship. We have special speakers lined up to strengthen you in your Christian walk, awesome music to lift your spirits, hilarious skits to tickle your funny bone, and—did someone say giveaways? Yep, we’ve got those, too!

The next morning, Saturday, April 13th, we are diving into more good stuff at 9 a.m. with a lineup of breakout sessions custom-designed for ladies. Whether navigating married life, tackling the empty nest, looking for God’s guidance as a single lady, or facing anything in between, these perfectly curated sessions will be exactly what every heart needs. Also, teen girls, we will have sessions just for you, too!

But wait, there’s more! At noon, we will refuel at a scrumptious lunch while discussing all we learned and enjoying some much-needed fellowship. After lunch, we will wrap up things in our closing session all together with a final special speaker, a few last giveaways, encouragement, music, and more.

Now, a few things to note:

· All ladies, starting with 7th grade teen girls and up, are invited!

· We will not have childcare available. Please leave the little ones at home if they are 6th graders or younger. They will not be allowed in the services or sessions.

· Need a place to crash on Friday night? We have an exclusive hotel rate at the local Hampton Inn, plus other hotel options, listed on our website.

· Do not forget to bring some cash (CashApp is also accepted) for all the goodies we will have for sale, from books and journals to snacks and drinks. Treat yourself because you deserve it!

Ready to join the fun? Registration is now open for just $30, which covers Friday’s dinner, Saturday’s lunch, all sessions, and a swag bag full of surprises! Head to our website to register or to learn more by clicking HERE.

Have more questions? Contact our registration host Erin Montgomery at the church at (904) 264-5333 or by email at [email protected]. Let us know how we can help!

We cannot wait to see you in April for the North Florida Baptist Ladies Conference as you enjoy two refreshing days of friendship, encouragement, laughter, and growing closer to our amazing God!
